Life is all about balance. Many modern packs (climbing packs in particular) are too focused on ultralight materials, gimmicky doodads and unnecessary features. Here at Masterpoint Designs we believe a good pack should be a trustworthy, reliable partner that will handle whatever you throw at it (or in it) for many years of adventuring. We believe packs should be simple and easy to use in any environment. We believe that wilderness adventure can be ruthless on outdoor equipment. Weight matters, but it should be balanced against durability and utility.
What Sets us apart
- Using a blend of modern as well as classic materials we strike an appropriate balance between strength/durability and weight.
- Our packs are constructed without the use of any elastic, velcro or light mesh. All of which wear out rapidly with repeated use.
- Zippers are used sparingly and only heavy duty #10 zippers are used to ensure long term durability.
- Our packs are all handmade in the Methow Valley of Washington, USA.
- Unique features such as our tool stirrups, magic-x framesheet, fall away skirt, self-equalizing waistbelt and Y-buckle top compression system create simple, useful solutions for the needs of outdoor adventurers.
